Vehicle Models & Savings Estimator
Transportation is changing and Avista is working hard to help our communities identify the best transportation solutions to complement their businesses. Some vehicle classes are readily available and have many successful implementations around the country, while other classes are in earlier stages of development/adoption and are currently being vetted through pilot programs.

Electric Forklifts
Vehicles driven on public roadways are not the only types of vehicles that are converting to electric. Organizations who move freight, foods, or other types of goods are already keenly aware of this transformation. In fact, businesses who use electric forklifts are becoming commonplace.
That’s because electric forklifts compete with their non-electric counterparts in both price and performance. The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) already has a handy tool to help businesses evaluate the cost comparisons of electric vs. non-electric forklifts. You can find that tool here:

Avista's Electric Forklift Incentive Program:
Avista has an incentive for businesses to buy or lease electric forklifts, making it easy for you to reap the price, performance and environmental benefits of electrification.
Avista's forklift incentive program is offered through local equipment dealers and is easy for your business to participate in. When your organization is purchasing or leasing a new forklift, just ask your local forklift equipment dealer about our program. Avista will provide your business with an "instant rebate" of $2,000.00 to buy a forklift with lead acid electric batteries, or alternatively, a $3,000.00 incentive to buy one with lithium-ion batteries. The dealer will credit your sales receipt with these instant rebates, and handle all the rebate-processing paperwork, making it easy for you. When you combine this Avista incentive with average annual “energy/fuel” savings of $2,600 per year, you’ll realize the total cost of ownership of an electric forklift is much less expensive than its propane or diesel counterparts.
